The Flos Tatou Table Lamp is a beautiful design that offers diffused light with its signature polycarbonate shade.

Designed by Patricia Urquiola, The Tatou gets its name from the French for “armadillo,” a tribute to the unassuming animal whose brilliant structure keeps it protected and makes it unique.

“The process began by looking for different ways to reconstruct membranes, conceived like Japanese armor: a series of metal buckles cleverly united by tapes with a powerful emotional value,” explains designer Patricia Urquiola. “The word 'tatou' has an emotional sound to it, which I think is consistent with the emotional function of this object.

Like the other pieces in this collection, designer Patricia Urquiola conceptualized this lamp to play on the filtration of light, with remarkable results.
